New Edition of the School for Private Investors, Business Angels and Family Offices

The Esade School for Private Investors, Business Angels and Family Offices is returning for a new edition on 15th, 16th and 17th March. The programme will focus on private investment, a system that offers agents great profitability if they use the right techniques to detect opportunities and ascertain risk quality.

Despite our best intentions, the COVID-19 pandemic has prevented us from holding a new edition of the School for more than a year. In 2021, we will be picking up where we left off, offering training to new business angels and active investors. Esade BAN has stayed active over the past several months, providing startups with greater visibility among the network of investors.
With this initiative, Esade Alumni hopes to contribute to the advancement of business and entrepreneurship in our society. As an active community committed to promoting good ideas, we believe that training our investor network is a key part of making this possible.
The new programme is designed for active or retired entrepreneurs, business executives, family office representatives and other people with financial capacity who are interested in helping to launch, develop and/or consolidate companies with growth potential. Led by Esade faculty, the programme will feature the participation of entrepreneurs, investors and experts with direct experience in investment processes, who will highlight tools and methodologies for systematising and properly managing the various phases of the investment process of a startup.

Methodology and objectves

This edition will be held in person, with all the necessary safety measures established by Esade in collaboration with the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona. Participants will also have the opportunity to attend an investment forum exclusively for members of the Esade BAN network. This forum will be held online, like all of the investor network’s activities at present.
The programme consists of comprehensive, intensive and highly practical training, ideal for going from 0 to 100 in just a few hours, enabling participants to operate confidently and apply the right tools and practices. With a focus on active learning, the programme will include case analyses, models and experts experiences, as well as an overview of the early-stage investment sector, including proven techniques and mistakes to avoid.

Programme

– Introduce participants to the world of business angels with a comprehensive journey from theory to practice.
– Develop participants’ basic skills and knowledge.
– Promote and spread the activity through networking.

In previous editions of the School for Private Investors, Business Angels and Family Offices, we have had up to 250 students, both in Barcelona and Madrid. We hope that this edition will be similarly successful.
